Pauline Baber, 98, Logansport, passed away at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at Miller's Merry Manor in Logansport.
She was born Nov. 21, 1919, to the late Emmett and Bertha (Stevenson) Burkett. She married Harland D. Baber on Sept. 21, 1938, in Peru. Together they celebrated 74 years of marriage before his passing on Jan. 5, 2013.
Pauline was a farm wife and homemaker. She was a former member of the Ramer Church in Walton and enjoyed crafts, cooking, gardening and her grandkids.
She is survived by her children, Carmen S. (Alan) Sharp, Goodland; Russell A. (Evon) Baber, Twelve Mile; Phyllis A. Cooksey, Logansport; and Rita J. Baber, Huntersville, North Carolina. She is also survived by many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Jean Baber of Walton and Dixie Burkett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harland, six brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with the Rev. Bill Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Ever Rest Memorial Park Cemetery in Logansport.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
