Pansy C. Johnson, 85, Kokomo, went home to be with the Lord at 4:46 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017, in the emergency room of Logansport Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 18, 1932, in Ewing, Virginia, to Elisha and Mary (Kelly) Wilson. Pansy married Odra G. Johnson on Aug. 17, 1946, and he joined the Lord on Aug. 21, 2003.
At the age of 1,5 Pansy confessed her love for Christ. Pansy was a member of the Hillside Missionary Baptist Church and loved going to Bible study.
Survivors include daughter Alice England, Fort Wayne; daughter-in-law, Betty Johnson, Logansport; one sister, Jane (Denny) England, Galveston; six grandchildren, Todd (Karen) Johnson, Tamatha (Steven) Huston, Tony (Rene) Johnson, Samatha (Shane) Myers, Emily (Doug) Rodenberg, Jesse Rice; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pansy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Dennis Clay Johnson and Ronald O. Johnson; sister, Sylvia Payne; and brothers Curtis Wilson and Sewell Wilson.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Neptune Chapel, 44 Michigan St. in Burlington, with the Rev. Clifford Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Burlington Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
