Opal's Story

Opal Marie Stotler Hopper, 55, Logansport, passed away Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at the Visiting Nurse Hospice, Fort Wayne.
Born Aug. 9, 1962, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Edna (Roland) Stotler.
On July 23, 2015, in Logansport, she was married to Monte Hopper, who survives.
A homemaker, Opal enjoyed cooking, roller skating, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Also surviving are four children, Brandy (Brian) LeGrand, Royal Center, Christopher (Charity) Wilson, Everett Wilson III and Candy Sparks, all of Logansport; three brothers, Scotty (Michelle) Stotler, Tucson, Arizona, Fred Stotler and Smitty Smith, both of Frankfort; two sisters, Fran Stotler, Royal Center, and Roxie Sparks, Monticello; and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Dick Stotler.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m.Friday, Feb. 23, in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ryan Lewellen officiating.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Friday in the funeral chapel.
