Odessa Louise Clemens, 82, Altoona, Florida, went to be with her Lord at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, in Cornerstone Hospice of Tavares, Florida.
She was born Jan. 25, 1935, in Canadian, Texas, to the late William Haze and Ezma (Clonts) Wilson. On Dec. 14, 1952, in Pampa, Texas, she married Dr. Bryan T. Clemens, who survives.
Louise was a homemaker, minister's wife and former day care provider. She was a member of the Altoona Baptist Church and former member of Metea Baptist Church.
Other survivors including her husband are two daughters, Kathy Hamel, The Villages, Florida; Sharon Whitmore, Maryland; two sons, Dr. Daniel Clay (Debra) Clemens, Hamilton, Ohio; Ben (Debbie) Clemens, Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
One sister and five brothers preceded her in death.
A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, in the Metea Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Foreman and Dr. Daniel Clemens officiating. Burial will follow in the Metea cemetery.
A visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Louise Clemens Memorial Fund C/O Metea Baptist Church.
