Myra Sue Miller


Myra Sue Miller, 74, a long-time resident of Cass County, died Sunday, Feb. 3 at her Gold Canyon, Arizona, winter home surrounded by family.
Born in 1944, Myra was raised on the family farm in Carroll County and attended Camden High School. For many years, Myra played piano for Center United Methodist Church, Young America, of which she was a member. She enjoyed 4-wheeling, motorcycling, riding snowmobiles, bird watching, garage sales, game shows, aerobics, socializing, playing the organ and attending Christian music concerts. She will be remembered for her musical talent and amazing cooking.
Myra is survived by her husband, Lonnie Miller, and his sons: Brice (Abby) Miller, Galveston; Brad (Amy) Miller, Galveston; and Tim (Kyra) Miller, Walton; her children: Denise Wise, Lakeland, Florida; and Brian (Sunshine) Wise, Deer Creek; sister, Barbara (Larry) Ottinger, Muncie; brother Larry (Kathi) Johnson, Deer Creek; 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Laurence and MaryEllen Johnson, and her first husband, Duane Wise.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life service with information to come.
