He was born July 11, 1975, in Peru to Edward and Judy (Bednarski) Stevens.
Michael was a 1985 Peru High School graduate and worked for American Stationery. He loved to go fishing and was looking forward to the upcoming mushroom hunting season. Michael had a passion for music and loved animals, especially cats. He was always concerned about others' needs and how he could help them out.
Survivors include his mother, Judy Stevens of Peru; two sisters, Shelley Pilkay of Fort Wayne and Nicole (Joseph) Watts of Logansport; three nieces, Sachi Pilkay, Abigail Pilkay and Phoenix Watts; and two nephews, Caelum Watts and Orion Stevens.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Edward Stevens; and two children, Paityn Satterfield and Devon Stevens.
A celebration of Michael's life will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at the Peru Civic Center at 225 E. Riverside Drive. Friends are encouraged to come share a meal and their favorite memory or story with Michael's family and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
