Mark Allen Leonard, 60, Royal Center, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017, at his home.
Born Aug. 22, 1956, in Evansville, he was the son of the late Lou Hearld and Shirley Steele Leonard.
A 1974 graduate of Logansport High School, Mark went on to receive special training as an electrician.
Mark was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the latter part of the Vietnam War era.
Mark was retired from Area V where he had worked for 25 years as a supervisor in weatherization.
A member of the Spring Creek Christian Church, Mark spent a lot of time helping the elderly and volunteering at church. He enjoyed traveling. Mark loved his sisters dearly.
Surviving are five sisters, Linda Martz, Logansport, Nancy Jones, Star City, Susan Poyser, Logansport, and Gayle Glaser and Terri Kauffman, both of Nappanee; several aunts uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Erza Schmucker and Doris Blume.
A funeral service celebrating Mark's life will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 8, in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastors Kyle Gennicks and Jeffery Hayes officiating. The Cass County Honor Guard will present full military honors. Burial will be at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Friends will be received 4-7 p.m. Saturday in the funeral chapel.
