Margaret I. Anderson, 90, Buffalo, passed away at 12:43 p.m. Monday, Dec. 25, 2017.
She was born July 14, 1927, near Wolcott to the late Charles and Deva (Lear) Crosby. On Sept. 20, 1945, at the home of the late Rev. Alvin Hall, she married Alvin J. Anderson; he passed away on March 14, 1997.
Margaret was a 1945 graduate of Buffalo High School of Buffalo.
She was a homemaker and helped her late husband, Alvin, with farming.
Margaret was an amazing pie maker.
She especially loved to entertain her whole family and was dearly loved by all.
Surviving are children, Larry (Sandy) Anderson of Rochester, Bonnie (Don) Wamsley of Buffalo, and Nancy Anderson of Delphi; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law Nellie Crosby, Sandy Anderson and Anna Anderson, all of Buffalo.
Margaret was preceded in death by son Charlie J. Anderson; sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Ralph Nice; brothers Everett (wife Genevieve) Crosby and Eugene Crosby; sister-in-law Jan Anderson; and brothers-in-law Charles A. "Charlie" Anderson, George G. Anderson and Don F. Anderson.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello. Burial will follow at the Pro /Indian Creek Cemetery in rural Headlee (Pulaski County).
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Buffalo Christian Church or to the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department, both of Buffalo.
