Mable's Story

Mable Betty Wolfe, 92, Logansport, formerly of Kewanna, passed away at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, in her home.
Born, June 1, 1925, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Lewis and Daisy May (Lantz) Baker.
On July 20, 1945, in Fulton, she was married to John Junior Wolfe who preceded her in death Jan. 14, 1994.
Mable was retired from Hamilton Standard where she had worked as an assembler for over 30 years.
She was a member of the Winamac Church of the Nazarene and the Rochester Sanctuary of Peace.
Surviving are four daughters, Linda Lou Wolfe Williams of Peru, Debra Kay (Gary) Lakey of Rochester, Marcia Sue (David) Handy of Logansport and Darla S.(Shanen) Mannies of Logansport; one son, Larry Eugene Wolfe, Logansport; several loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Joan Ann Conklin; three brothers, Harvey Jr., Claud A. and Carl A. Baker; and one sister, June R. Harmon.
A funeral service celebrating Mable's life will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Carol Whitlock officiating. Burial will follow in the Ever Rest Memorial Park.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, in the funeral chapel.
