Lucile Jane Shaff, 97, Logansport, passed away Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.
Born Oct. 8, 1920, in Cass County, she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Edna P. (White) Stewart. On June 25, 1939, in Claypool, she married Samuel J. Shaff, who preceded her in death on April 6, 2008.
Lucile was a homemaker. She was a 1938 graduate of Washington Township High School and a member of Blue Ball Church. She enjoyed gardening, baking and spending time with her family and friends.
Lucile is survived by three daughters, Judy (Jack) Berlet, Connie Small and Marcia (Jerry) Harness, all of Walton; 10 grandchildren, Jeff (Julie) Berlet, Jill (Mark) Murray, Mark (Lisa) Small, Tammy Small, all of Walton; Tracy Wolf, Ann Arbor, Michigan; Jennifer (Lon) McAllister, Katy, Texas; Jill Harness, San Antonio, Texas; Bridget (Adam) Guzowski, Indianapolis; Brian (Deanna) Wolf, Logansport; and Carla Small, Walton; 21 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Darin Small; a great-grandchild, Samuel Berlet; a son-in-law, Bill Small; two brothers; and a sister.
A celebration of life will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, in Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, in Gundrum Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Blue Ball Church.
