Lois Marie Gaby, 91, Logansport, went home to be with Jesus Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born May 26, 1926, in Kentland, she was the third daughter of the late Walter LeRoy and Corma Hannah (Howland) Hagan.
She was married March 16, 1947, to Cecil A. Gaby Jr. in Kentland. He preceded her in death July 25, 2002.
Lois was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had previously worked at RBM, the "Y" and Universal Fire. In 1988, she retired from First National Bank.
She attended and was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.
Lois enjoyed gardening, and loved fresh vegetables and fruits, especially tomatoes. She enjoyed playing euchre and games. Lois was a loyal fan of the Indiana Pacers and Chicago Cubs, and loved to listen to Logansport High School sports on the radio. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Gaby, Logansport, and Christine (Mike) Hunter, Arden, North Carolina; one son, Richard (Barbara) Gaby, Johns Creek, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Candy (Ronald) Gaby, Kokomo; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter; a son, Ronald W. Gaby; and two sisters, Cleda Donahue and Martha McClatchey.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Lois Gaby will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Damon Soper officiating. Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday in the funeral chapel.
