Levellia M. Piercy, 85, Logansport, passed away Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, in her residence surrounded by her family. Born May 26, 1932, in Patsey, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Hughie and Carrie (Hall) Townsend. On Dec. 31, 1949, in Walton, she married Paul T. Piercy who preceded her in death on July 30, 2010.
Levellia formerly worked for United Technologies as an assembler. She was a member of Bethel Temple Church in Logansport.
Surviving are two daughters, Vicki (Glen) Albright, Rochester, and Paula (Robin) Moore, Peru; five grandchildren, Bryan (Kristy) Albright, Rochester, Tina (Michael) Paschen, Lucerne, Travis (Emilee) Albright, Kewanna, Domonique (Tom) Scheiter, Peru, and Michael (Lacy) Moore, Peru; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lemon (Diamond) Townsend, Kokomo, and Bud Townsend, Noblesville; several nieces and nephews; and special neighbors, Leo (Lucy) Spitznogle, Logansport, and Mark (Cindy) Foust, Logansport.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Samuel Paschen; and a brother and sister-in-law, Orval (Jerry) Townsend.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Russell and Bryan Albright officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Cemetery, Logansport. Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, also in the funeral home.
