Kay Frances (Doran) Scagnoli, 84, Logansport, passed away at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at Miller's Merry Manor.
Born March 9, 1933, in Edinburgh, she is the daughter of the late Wayne Doran and Phyllis (Trego) Doran.
On Dec. 3, 1956, in Plymouth, she was married to Frank Scagnoli, who survives.
Kay graduated from Logansport High School and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Logansport. Kay retired from General Telephone after working 38 years as a telephone operator.
Kay loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed supporting her daughters at horse shows around the state, traveling to grandchildren's activities and hosting the Scagnoli family reunion for 40 years. Kay was an avid dog lover and enjoyed reading and watching old western movies. She also liked to tour the country on a motorcycle and had the opportunity to see 40 states and several national parks and monuments.
Surviving with her husband of 61 years are one daughter, Rita Moffitt (Kevin Giddens) of Flora; her son-in-law, Brian Spencer of Lafayette; her four grandchildren, Kelly (Brandon) Mooradian of Zionsville, Justin (Laura) Moffitt of Grimes, Iowa, Austin Spencer of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Anna Spencer of Lafayette; and one great-granddaughter, Kaia Mooradian.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Leanne Scagnoli Spencer.
A funeral service celebrating Kay's life will be at noon Saturday, Oct. 14, at Fisher Funeral Chapel in Logansport, with Pastor John Newman officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Saturday in the funeral chapel.
