Judith R. Hizer, 72, of Logansport, passed away Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 in Woodbridge Health Campus.
She was born Jan. 10, 1945 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, to the late Walter Joseph and Ellen Grace (Stone) Snay. On Nov. 30, 1963, she married Harold Wesley Hizer Sr. who preceded in death on Oct. 24, 2000.
Judith was a homemaker. She loved her cats. She also enjoyed collecting elephants and was a big Elvis Presley fan.
Survivors include one son, Harold Hizer Jr., Logansport; two daughters, Judith E. Hizer, Niles, Michigan, and Samantha J. Hizer, Citrus Heights, California; two sisters, Ellen Zeider, Logansport, and Ruth Jackson, Mt. Clemens, Michigan; two brothers, Gilbert (Dorothy) Snay, Logansport, and James Snay, Logansport; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Judith was preceded in death by one grandson, Eric Dempsey; a stepdaughter, Linda Dempsey; seven brothers, Jerry, Billy, Johnny, Franklin, Richard, Patrick and Thomas Snay; and four sisters, Margaret Schultz, Carolyn Snay, Florence Rush and Joan Parsons.
A celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 15, 2017 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Gross officiating. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of services on Wednesday in the Gundrum Funeral Home. A private burial will be held in Ever Rest Memorial Park.
