Josephine 'Jo''s Story

Josephine "Jo" Partridge, 97, of Logansport, passed away peacefully at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, in her residence at McKinney Place.
Born Wednesday, May 26, 1920, in Benton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of John Clifford and Daisy Smith Jones.
On Aug. 27, 1940, in Warsaw, Indiana, she was married to Everett Partridge, who preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 2002.
In 1946, Jo and Everett established Partridge Floor Coverings in downtown Logansport. In earlier years she had been an active member of Kappa Kappa Kappa sorority and the Logansport Art Association.
She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.
Jo was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her kind, gracious and caring way was well-known by all who knew her, especially her precious cat, Teddy, who never left her side.
Surviving are three sons, Anthony (Barbara) Partridge, Thomas (Teri) Partridge, all of Logansport, and Patrick (Sandra) Partridge, Westchester, Illinois; sister, Lita Hendrick, Logansport; grandchildren, Ryan Partridge and Jessika (Bryan) Hane; and great-grandchildren, Grace Ruth Hane and Eleanor Josephine Hane.
Also surviving are nieces, Mary Kathleen Ditmire and Angela (Walt) Moss; great niece, Jill Ditmire; several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, all of whom were very important to her.
A sister, Robbie Van Meter, and great nephew, Jeffrey Ditmire, preceded in death.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at Kroeger Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m., also at the funeral home, with Rev. Larry Phillips of Guardian Angel Hospice officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
