Joseph Herman Kiesling, 80, Logansport, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
On May 20, 1937, Joseph was born in a front bedroom of 712 Plum St., delivered by a female doctor, to his proud parents, the late Loretta (Coblentz) and Herman Groffmeyer Kiesling.
On Aug. 24, 1956 in Fulton, Joseph married Patricia "Sue" (Maroney) Kiesling, who survives
For 25 years, Joseph worked at Delco before retiring in 1997.
Joseph was a longtime member of the St. James Lutheran Church. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
Surviving are daughter, Pamela Sterrett of Lafayette; one sister, Rita (Dale) Harris, of Fort Myers, Florida; three grandchildren, Miles (Melissa) Sterrett, Abbey (Sean) Murphy and Jaime (Ethan) Tribbett; and seven great-grandchildren, Aaden, Zoey and Mollie Murphy, Lola and Jude Tribbett, and Zane and Aubrey Sterrett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
A memorial service celebrating Joseph's life will be at noon Saturday, Nov. 25, in Fisher Funeral Chapel, with Pastor KC Dehning officiating. Burial, at a later date, will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
