Jerry Lee Spencer, 79, Logansport, passed away Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, in Logansport.
Born Oct. 5, 1937, in Cass County, he was the son of the late George and Elda (Kinnaman) Spencer.
On March 6, 1960, in Logansport at the Ninth Street Christian Church, Jerry married Susan L. Acton, who survives.
Jerry retired in 2003 from Matthew-Warren, formerly Rockwell International, after 39 years of service.
He was a member of River of Life Christian Church. Jerry was a 1957 graduate from Royal Center High School. In his spare time he loved watching the grandkids play sports and up until Jerry got sick he enjoyed going raccoon hunting.
Surviving along with his wife are two sons, Tracy (Andrea) Spencer, Logansport; Jeff Spencer, Logansport; granddaughter, Brannyn Spencer, Logansport; grandson, Braxton Shidler and fiancé Elle McHugh, Greenwood; sister-in-law, Nancy Spencer, Royal Center; and several nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy; and two brothers, Gary and Terry Spencer.
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, at Gundrum Funeral Home with the Rev. Paula Neibert officiating.
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, at Gundrum Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to River of Life Christian Church.
Jerry's arrangements have been entrusted to Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory.
