Jeanne's Story

Jeanne Aileen Fountaine Murrill, 94, most recently of Clearwater, Florida, passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018.
Jeanne was born July 31, 1923, in Logansport to Frank and Mylrea Fountaine. Her stepmother was Vivian Hey Fountaine. Jeanne was in the class of 1941 at Logansport High School. She was active in forensics especially debate. When she graduated from Purdue in 1943, she took a job as a chemist with Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where she worked during the war.
In August 1946, Jeanne married Randall T. Murrill Jr. They lived and raised their family in Texas, Delaware, and Parkersburg, West Virginia.
Jeanne is survived by her three children, Mary (Don), Steve (Elizabeth) and Karen (Brian); nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Murrill; her brother, Robert Fountaine; and her niece, Elise Fountaine Branson.

A celebration of her life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, in the Town Hall of the Regency Oaks community in Clearwater, Florida, followed by interment at Sylvan Abbey.
