James Glenn Young, 89, Oxford, Michigan, formerly of Logansport, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Metro Health Hospital in Wyoming, Michigan.
Born June 2, 1928 in Broadtop Township, Pennsylvania, he was the son to the late Walter and Veora (Barton) Young. On Feb. 14, 1953, in Royal Center, he married Edith Irene Carlson, who preceded him in death on Sept. 19, 2009.
James retired from Logansport Ford where he worked as a mechanic. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Cross-Wind United Methodist Church.
Surviving him are two sons, David A. (Jenny) Young, Logansport; James A. Young, Indianapolis; a daughter, Susan A. (Eric) Watson, Oxford, Michigan; five granddaughters, Angie Young, Belle, Missouri; Paula (Dustin) Gore, Indianapolis; Jill (Ryan) Bouillon, Syracuse; Lisa (Josiah) Kennedy, Abilene, Texas; Tammy Spencer, Logansport; grandson, Michael (Rachel) Spencer, Logansport; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was one granddaughter, Nicole Burnett; one grandson, Joe Kratzer; three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Friday, April 13, in Gundrum Funeral Home.
