James V. "Bus, Buster" Malott, 94, Logansport, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017, in his residence.
Born Jan. 4, 1923, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Elmer D. and Edna Marie (Ridenour) Malott. On Nov. 10, 1945, in Logansport, he married Betty J. McMillin, who survives.
"Bus" retired in 1982 from Rockwell International. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 3790 and the American Legion Post 60.
Surviving along with his wife, Betty, are two children, Darlene Malott, Chatsworth, California, and John (Marti) Malott, Lakeland, Florida; brother, Donald J. Malott, Loomis, California; sister, Dorothy J. Shover, Mesa, Arizona; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
A celebration of life will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 20, in Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial with full military rites will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service on Monday.
