Harrison "Bub" Owen, 61, Walton, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.
He was born Nov. 9, 1955, to Harrison E. and Reina M. (Name) Owen. He married Teresa Fisher on Oct. 15, 1977, in Galveston, and she survives.
Bub worked in maintenance for Armour Eckrich in Peru for several years. He also farmed and worked construction.
He was a member of the Young America Volunteer Fire Department, the Galveston American Legion and the Cass County Coon Hunters. Bub was a practical joker who enjoyed coon hunting, fishing and his horses.
Along with his wife, he is survived by daughter, Tracey (David) Bogue, Galveston; granddaughter, Brooke Bronson and boyfriend Kyle, Kokomo; sister, Edith "Sis" Lock, Kokomo; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a half-brother, Billy Name.
A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 30, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston. Chaplin Richard Olson will be officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
