Fred L. Taylor, 67, Logansport, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Logansport.
Born Sept. 8, 1949, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Fred and Ruby (Humphrey) Taylor. On July 3, 1975, in Logansport, he married Connie Hayden, who survives.
Fred retired from Carter Concrete Block; he had also worked for RCA and Hamilton Standard. During harvest season he also hauled grain for Criswell Farms.
Fred was a member of the class of 1968 at Pioneer High School. He was an avid outdoorsman; you would always find him on his lawnmower, digging on his backhoe down by his ponds, and fishing. Fred loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren, and dog Gidget.
Surviving along with his wife Connie are two daughters, Regina (Marvin) McAninch, Burnettsville; Dawn (Jeff) Kabat, Logansport; son, James (Marcia) Taylor, Logansport; grandchildren, Jason (Paige) McAninch, Brianna McAninch, Briar McAninch, Torii Taylor, Zacery Taylor, Geneva Kabat, Jessica Kabat; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and Colby McAninch, Tathen Carty, Case McAninch; sister, Lenora (Ed) Armbruster, Medina, Ohio; K9 companion, Gidget Taylor; several aunts; an uncle; brother and sister-in-law, Bill (Peggy) Hayden; and nephews, Matt and Tony Hayden.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, SSG Kenneth McAninch, and two brothers, Ted and Jesse Taylor.
A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, in the Gundrum Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday in the funeral home.
