Donald W. Stover, 72, Swayzee, went to be with the Lord at 10 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2017, at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis.
He was born in Lafayette to Anthony and Lillian (Moore) Stover. He married Nola Raymer on Nov. 20, 1999. She survives.
Donald attended Royal Center High School in Lafayette and served in the U.S. Army for six years. Following his military service, he was employed at Cuneo Press before working in transportation at Four County Counseling Center.
He was very active in bowling for many years and enjoyed collecting coins, football and watching WWF wrestling. Donald was an Eagles member and enjoyed 1950s cars and music, coin and gun shows, and spending time with his dogs.
He will be missed by his wife, Nola; daughters, Donna (Joel) Roby, Kokomo, and Lisa (Brian) Yohler, Indianapolis; stepchildren, Eve Gipson, Flora, Vicky Stouder, Bristol, Lyla Larimore, Logansport, and Gordon Gharis, Logansport; grandchildren, Holly Nethercutt, Kyle Nethercutt and Matthew Hodges; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Madison, Kennedy, Jamey, Calvin, Camden, and Kassidy; stepgrandchildren, Carrie Kay Norman, Amber Roundtree, April Whilhite, Eric Stouder, Brian Larimore and Brett Larimore; and brothers, Larry Stover, Logansport, Ronald Stover, Twelve Mile, and Jerry Stover, Logansport.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Guy Stover.
Services for Donald will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, May 5, at Swayzee Church of the Nazarene, 2560 S. 800 West, Swayzee, with Pastor Ryan Dalrymple officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, 1800 Grant St., Logansport.
The family will receive visitors from noon until the time of the service Friday at the church.
