Dennis Joe Dillon, 67, Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Logansport, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, in Phoenix.
On Sept. 5, 1949, Joe was born to the late Charles and Anita (Strasser) Dillon of Deer Creek.
He graduated from Carroll High School in 1968. Joe established many life long friendships at Elco Industries and as a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survived by his loving wife of eight years, Dee Dillon; two daughters, Emily and Amanda Dillon, both of Logansport; one son, CJ (Steve) Dillon of Chicago, who were his children from a previous marriage with Leah Justice; six grandchildren, Austin and Zachary Klinkhamer, Brandt Galbreath, Alexander Jones and Elana and Leila Popejoy; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas (Rhonda) Dillon of Bringhurst; two sisters, Linda (Bill) Trapp of Camden and Kay (Don) McCarty of Logansport; two half-brothers, Wayne (Marge) Dillon of Camden and Gene Dillon of Logansport; one sister-in-law, Barb Dillon of Flora; and his "girls" (dogs), Dolly and Missy.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lynn and Stanley Dillon; one sister, Ruby Coleman; and two half-brothers, Bill and Dale Dillon.
A celebration of his life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at the Revolution Church in Logansport, with lunch to follow. Private burial was in Hopewell Cemetery, Deer Creek.
