David Douglas Ringer, 46, rural Camden, died unexpectedly at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 13, 1970, in Fort Wayne. He was the son of George M. and Nancy Johnson Ringer. He graduated from Delphi Community High School in 1989 and had attended Butler and Purdue universities. He previously worked at Caterpillar and was a self-employed automotive mechanic and farmer.
On July 17, 1997 at Camden, he married Lisa Jackson, who survives. Also surviving are sons Alex (Megan) of Cicero and A.J. of Camden. His sister, Debbie (Mark) McFatridge of Little Rock, Arkansas, and his granddaughter Camdyn also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father.
David was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Camden, the NRA and NHRA. He enjoyed playing guitar, farming and working on automobiles.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Cree Funeral Home, Camden, with Pastor Malachi Jaggers officiating. Burial will follow in the Camden Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday, April 17, at the funeral home.
