Daniel L. Linback, 81, Logansport, passed away Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, in his residence.
Born Feb. 26, 1936, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Clarence and Cleo (Cover) Linback. On June 21, 1959, in Logansport, he married Jane Wolf, who survives.
Daniel was a lifelong mechanic. He especially enjoyed working on antique cars. In his spare time Daniel liked to listen to classic country music and spend time with his family and friends. Daniel was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post 60.
Surviving along with his wife, Jane, is a son, Brian D. Linback, and two daughters, Regina M. Caroway and Karen K. Pearson, all of Logansport; seven grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; three brothers, Vernon (Lu) Linback, South Bend, John (Dixie) Linback, Walkerton, and Tom (Marlene) Linback, Logansport; and two sisters, Dorla (Lawrence) Nelson, Walla Walla, Washington, and Lillie (Wilbur) Spencer, Logansport.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Linback, and two sisters, Nancy Christen and Patricia Roland.
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, also in the Gundrum Funeral Home.
