Chase Daniel Allen

Chase Daniel Allen, 33, of Roanoke, formerly of Logansport lost the battle with his failing, earthly body Monday night, July 8, 2019, in the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
In the words his sister, Jacinta Langley, who so eloquently writes, "What he gained was so much more. In the midst of our tears we rejoice knowing Chase is now free of pain and of the unknown illness that changed so much of his life and our lives the last 7 months."
Born Aug. 26, 1985, in Logansport, he was the son of Bruce and Darlene (Stamper) Allen, who survive in Logansport.
Chase was a 2005 graduate of Logansport High School. This past December, he graduated from Ivy Tech Community College earning an associates of science degree in nursing and a certificate of nursing as an LPN. He had worked as a QMA and CNA for the Peabody Nursing Home.
Chase was a Christian man with a servant's heart. He loved caring for others and tending to their needs even more so than his own. With such an outgoing personality, Chase could light up a room with his smile. His hobbies included reading, hiking and being outdoors, music and antique shopping.
Surviving with his parents are his partner and best friend, Joe Smith, Roanoke; 10 siblings: Shane Gilbert, Grand Junction, Colorado; Hayli (Tyrel) Mannies, Logansport; Amy (Ron) Sparks, Peru; Vanessa (Jackie) Hight, Kokomo; Jacinta (Brent) Langley, West Lafayette; Nathan (Michelle) Allen, Logansport; Jared Allen (Chase's twin brother) of Kokomo; Chelsey Sommers; Jacob (Kassandra) Allen and Emily Allen, all of Logansport; several nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles including two special aunts, Theresa Rihel and Porgie Newport; many cousins; a special friend, Sasha Bray; and his dearly loved canine children, Hurley and Aria. In addition to his family, many friends, coworkers and patients added joy to his life and they, in turn, were blessed by Chase's friendship.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Josiah Grant Allen.
A funeral service celebrating Chase's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 13 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mike Stow officiating.
The Northcentral Indiana Nursing Honor Guard will conduct memorial services in recognition of Chase's nursing career.
Burial will follow in Little Deer Creek Cemetery in Onward.
Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 12 in the funeral chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Peabody Nursing Home Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel or donations may be made online at
