Cathleen's Story

Cathleen J. Rynerson, 73, De Pere, Wisconsin, formerly of Jacksonville, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at her home with family at her side.
She was born Sept. 12, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Onen and Barbara (Welty) Cooper. On April 27, 1963, she married Jerry Rynerson in Logansport, and together they celebrated nearly 55 years of marriage. Cathleen enjoyed traveling with Jerry, and saw many different places in the 28 years Jerry was in the Air Force. She also enjoyed cross-stitching, reading, cooking and was a natural people person who was always helping others. Above all else, she enjoyed time spent with family, especially her grandchildren who were her pride and joy.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry; daughters: Tammara (Joe) Oswald of Monroe, Washington, and Lisa (David) Cox of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren: Meagan Cox of St. Louis, Missouri, Christopher (fiancée Victoria) Cox of St. Louis, Missouri, Paul Oswald of Seattle, Washington, and Claire Oswald of Monroe, Washington; sister Annette (Don) Mayhew of Westfield; brother-in-law William (Nancy) Rynerson of Logansport; nephews and nieces: Larry (Roberta) Abel, Troy Abel, Janet (Albert) Robey, Cricket (Fred) Hilmer, Kelly (John) Somsel, Mellissa (Steve) Boggs, the late Matt Chentnik and Mechelle (Rob) Hillman.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, Wisconsin, with Pastor Rebecca Voss officiating.
Friends and family may visit from noon until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed in Cathleen's name to the Bay Area Humane Society or NEW Community Shelter.

Our family would like extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Stevens, the caregivers from Home Instead, especially Kim, Natasha, Nou and Mercedes; The ICU and 3rd floor at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, as well as to family and friends who called and were so willing to help.
