Beverly Joan Miller, 84, Young America, passed away at 5:50 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. She was born Jan. 11, 1933, in Howard County.
Beverly retired from Lewis Cass High School as the principal's secretary in 1998 with 37 years of service. She enjoyed reading books in her spare time.
Surviving family include her husband, Leon Miller, Young America; son, Alan (Julie) Miller, Murrieta, California; grandchildren, Jared Miller and Jessica Novello, both of Murrieta, California; and five great-grandchildren.
She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Nellie M. and Howard Dunkle, who have preceded her in death, as well as one great-grandson.
Beverly's wishes were for cremation. No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Wounded Warrior Project at the request of her family, www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
