Benjamin "Ben"'s Story
Benjamin F. "Ben" Denny, 82, Logansport, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born Nov. 16, 1934, in Royal Center, he was the son of the late Simon and Ruby (Bucks) Denny.
Ben formerly owned and operated Denny's Heating and Cooling for 50 years.
Ben was a 50-year member of F&AM; Walton 423 and the Fort Wayne Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Murat Shrine Club and the Logansport Shrine Club. Ben was an avid coon hunter and he enjoyed working outside and mowing his yard.
Survivors include his children, Jeffery Denny (Sara) of Logansport, Judith Sterrett (Chuck) of Logansport, Janelle Lesher (Diana) of Logansport and Jacqueline Hockaday of Logansport; brothers, Simon Denny of Logansport, Thomas Denny of Logansport and Dick Denny of Minnesota; and sister, Leah Milner of Wabash. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Denny, on Nov. 30, 2010; brothers Ike Denny, Richard Denny, Glenn Denny and Don Denny; and sisters June Hufford, Betty Rose and Bonnie Sibley.
Memorial services will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Logansport Shrine Club and/or the Cass County Humane Society.
